Canada Geese

Canada Geese are notable for their voracious appetites, consuming up to 3 lbs of vegetation daily, while simultaneously producing approximately 1.5 lbs of droppings. During the spring, they engage in nesting activities, showcasing heightened protectiveness over their eggs. This protective behavior can sometimes lead to aggressive encounters, with Canada Geese known to attack humans, especially if they perceive a threat to their nesting area.

Our Dogs

Border Collies love to work and love to have a job. Each Border Collie has been given extensive training before being allowed to work around geese and in public. Border Collies have a distinctive stare, called “the eye”, and stalk that mimics a predator. This is why a Border Collie is the only dog capable of providing such excellent goose control results. Our Border Collies think they are just herding the geese but the geese perceive them as predators making the grounds unsafe for them.
